President Ali receives Gabon basketball squads
Gabon’s President Ali Bongo received yesterday at the Presidency Palace the Basketball male and female teams qualified for the African games. The president congratulated the players for this success.
Then, the president urged the Sports minister to make his best to support the players and make sure they have everything they need to better face this competition.
Gabon’s national male squad qualified for its 3rd Afrobasket joint qualifiers with the African Games here in Libreville. Gabon did it first in Group G zone IV ahead of Chad and Central Africa.
For the Women, lead by a Great Géraldine Robert, they did a double by qualifying first for the 2015 AfroBasket in Cameroon and won their ticket for African games.
