Jacques Obame Essono new chair of Gabon’s Athletics FA
Last Sunday the Gabonese Athletics FA elected during its General Assembly Former international Gabonese athlete Jacques Obame Essono as chairperson of the federation.
The new chair Jacques Obame Essono has replaced Martial Paraiso dismedd of this position for 7 months now.
A new departure for the federation after being put off by the Sport ministry which let a ad hoc committee took over. The International Athletic Association Federations condemns this ad hoc committee.
As part of his project, Jacques Obame Essono intends to boost the Gabonese athletics through media as well as training session for coaches. He also intends to set up provincial leagues and partner with schools throughout the country.
