After a joint host with Equatorial Guinea, it is now Gabon’s turn to host on its own the 2017 African Cup Of Nation unveiled CAF during 8th April CAF General Assembly in Cairo. The news appeared to be great since Gabon people are expecting to make it their success.
For Gabon’s investors this is a great opportunities to seek ways and means to grow business and foster the economic activity.
For sports lovers, they expect to see sport infrastructures out from the ground as it was the case during joint host in 2012. We can all be proud of the Chinese Gabonese Stadium of Agondgé dubbed “Le stade de l’amitié”. Seeing the 3D model, we can already foresee that this AFCON will bring up some other surprises.
However, opinions are shared. Some other people care much more about the current social crisis and find out that Gabon could have focus its strength on other projects to get achieved.
Also, Ghana and Algeria are not positive with this CAF vote, and claimed that the process of voting was "embarrassing" and lacks transparency.
